Journey T-Shirts
Journey is a rock band that was formed in 1973 in San Francisco, California. The original band members included Neal Schon, Ross Balory, George Tickner, Gregg Rolie, and Prairie Prince. Journey debuted their first album in 1975, which didn’t do much in sales, so the second album, “Look into the Future”, was released a year later, and didn’t do well in sales either.
Robert Fleischman joined Journey, and they released the song, “Wheel in the Sky” in 1977, which was a big hit for Journey. Steve Perry joined the band at the end of that year as the lead vocalists. Journey released their fourth album, “Infinity” in 1978, and the album reached the top of the charts along with the singles, “Lights”, and “Wheel in the Sky”. Journey finally got a top ten album when they released, “Departure”, then the band went on the Departure Tour, and released “Captured”, which was a live album.
“Escape” was released in 1981, and was Journey’s highest selling album. The album featured, “Don’t Stop Believin’”, “Open Arms”, and “Who’s Cryin’ Now” singles that ranked high on the Billboard chart. “Escape” went to number one, and went platinum. This album stayed at number two for almost two months.
Journey released two video games, Journey, and Journey Escape in 1982. Journey returned to the studio to record, “Frontiers”, which reached number two on the Billboard charts, and sold over six million copies. After the release of “Frontiers” Steve Perry and Neal Schon pursed solo careers. Steve Perry was replaced with Steve Augeri, because he injured his hip and required hip surgery in 1998. The band released, “Arrival” in 2002.
In 2012, “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey” documentary was released that shows the story of Journey. Journey announced that on March 5, 2015 that they would be teaming up with the Steve Miller Band, and Tower of Power for a tour. Journey will be touring across the United States and the United Kingdom, and their last concert will on August 2, 2015 in St. Johns, Newfoundland.
